education re-desegregation

A few months ago in the midst of Black History Month, we took a look at how Martin Luther King Jr.’s dream for desegregated schools has been clouded, especially here in New York City. Border Crossers, a group helping bring diverse educators and children together to talk about race, has been actively involved in promoting desegregation.

This weekend, Border Crossers was highlighted in the New York Times piece titled, “Why Don’t We Have Any White Kids?” as part of a series that explores the persistence of racial segregation in the New York City school system. Stay involved in the conversation, as today’s youth are tomorrow’s leaders!
